![]() This is just ONE of COUNTLESS arrangements you could set up with friends.īetter arrangement? You could have one friend who takes a mechanic shop base, and efficiently make toolkits and vehicle upgrade kits for your whole crew, early game. I don't even need to keep an infirmary, something most people consider essentially mandatory.Īnd honestly, this arrangement is terrible. ![]() I provide them with food, ethanol, and rucksacks, they provide me with Heartland exclusives, mass plague cure, and stimulants. Normally, we would balance our bases to cover all of our needs, but because we're 2 people with 2 worlds, we can run hyper-specialized bases that depend on each other. My friend and I have a setup right now where my standard world is super-optimized for ethanol and influence production, meanwhile their heartland world can't make this as well as me and can't access the trader but CAN make stimulants and plague cure, something my world can't do well. imagination people, you have one, use it. My god I've heard this nonsense so many times. As a p2p based system it's never going to be perfect, but it's maximally good. This one tricked me into thinking there were dedicated servers for the first like 100 hours of play. P2p based systems are usually borderline unplayable. Oh, and also, this is one of the highest functioning p2p systems I've ever seen in any game in my entire life. That's as close as you're gonna get to a communal world. Consider streaming footage to your buddies on Discord so you can plan stuff together. Which just isn't gonna be the case for you and your friends for a very very long time. This is tragic, because it means the only people who can deliberate over base choices are experienced players who know the options and base layouts in the first place. You can't even look at the same base screen and deliberate over base decisions with your friends, let alone unlock their permissions so they can operate with you as an equal. You need to go into this game's multiplayer with that expectation. The major downside however is that there is no communal aspect of this game. the person who owns the world has the power to kick anyone at any time instantly so you don't have to feel TOO scared to bring randoms into your cherished world. The permissions are handled exactly as they should, i.e. Just stay on the same side of the planet as the host and you'll never even notice it exists. I don't know why people talk about it like it matters. isn't a good thing (They REALLY should make the tethering process consume vehicular fuel), but if you're concerned about the tether being a disadvantage, don't be. ![]() And you'll live longer if you stick together. You basically just need to be on the same approximate side of the map.
